What are good shoes for standing in for long periods of time?

I was wearing converse and so of course my feet wound up hurting really bad because converse don’t have any arch support. Like spider web or flower printed black tights under say a skirt or shorts,
What would be cute shoes to use with them, no converse
I was thinking marry janes maybe, or boots (But i wear boots all the time :/ )

I cant wear heels to school its not practical and it will look like im trying to hard

My normal shoe size is 11.5 mens and the pair of shoes that i plan on wearing is an 8.5. I put them on and its pretty tight but not unbearable.
