What are the best shoes to wear as a waitress?

I work at a really busy restaurant, and I have to be on my feet for 5-6 hour shifts the whole time, running back and fourth. I’ve been wearing converse because those are really the only closed toed shoes i have besides flip flops, heels, or gym shoes, but they hurt SOOO much.
Escpecially my heel.
What are some cheap good shoes to wear?
I am not about to go out and buy 50 dollar vans and get them dirty.
