How bad is it to wear small shoes for a night?

Ok so I have this party to go to in a few hours and i have an old pair of shoes that would really go with what i plan to wear. My normal shoe size is 11.5 mens and the pair of shoes that i plan on wearing is an 8.5. I put them on and its pretty tight but not unbearable. There wont be any bad side effects if i wear them for 4 hours (8-12)? They are sneakers, not dress shoes if that makes a difference, converse to be specific.
