What type of shoes should I purchase for Volleyball?

Mizuno; light rounded volleyball shoes. Most players wear them. Hope this helps and good luck this season. Bob
Deff. not regular shoes… Try asics. There great volleyball shoes. Thats what I have for volleyball and their amazing. Christine

But what did they ask you to do during tryouts?
I used to play in basketball shoes, until I played in running shoes one day. They do have volleyball shoes out there, but not necessarily needed. A good running shoe is light and if you wear ankle braces, there will be enough support. Basketball shoes tend to be heavier than running or volleyball shoes. What ever you decide on buying, make sure you go buy them at the store. You need to make sure they fit well and you feel comfortable in them. DO NOT BUY THEM ONLINE!!! You have no idea what the shoe will feel like and if they do not fight right you will have to send them back and it will take more time before you get used to them. spoonman1327
